1) Select the whole hash
(all three lines!) and copy it
2) Start K-Sig.
3) In the menu click on 'File' and select 'Paste from Clipboard'.
or
1) Start K-Sig.
2) In the menu click on 'File' and select 'Enter Hash Manually'.
3) Fill in the values supplied in the hash. File size must be the size in Bytes.
UUHash must be everything behind UUHash:. In the example above it would
be =S8hsFRuHtrQFq58jEhj+ofMudZI=
4) If you did it correctly,
then a .dat file should have been created by K-Sig
5) Restart K-Lite to make the file show up in the Traffic window of K-Lite
Note:
K-Sig also has an option to send the hash directly to K-Lite. See File > Program
Options > 'Open QuickLinks in Kazaa'. In that case all you have to do is the
first three steps. The file will be added to the Traffic window directly and you
don't have to restart K-Lite.
1) Click on the link
2) K-Sig will create a .dat file in your download folder of K-Lite
3) Restart K-Lite so that the file will show up in the Traffic window of K-Lite

K-Sig also has an option to open Quicklinks directly in K-Lite. See File >
Program Options > 'Open QuickLinks in Kazaa'. In that case, all you have to do
is the first step. The file will be added to the Traffic window directly and you
don't have to restart Kazaa Lite.
How to
use K-Sig to create a hash/quicklink to place on a Forum
1) Start K-Sig.
2) In the menu click on 'File' and select 'Select File(s)'.
3) Select the files.
4) The files will appear in the K-Sig program.
5) Select one or more of the files and right-click on it with your mouse.
6a) Click on 'Copy QuickLink as' > 'Simple' if you want a normal hash. or
6b) Click on 'Copy QuickLink as' > 'Hybrid Hyperlink <A></A>' if you want a html
style quicklink. Note: not all forums support this format, but our forum
does. Read the pinned topic on the forum for full details.
7) Go to the forum and create a new topic. Please use a subject that describes
the contents of your post.
8) Paste (press [Ctrl] + [v]) the data into the message area of the topic you
created.
9) You should see something like this:
10) You can add some
additional information about the files or just submit your topic.
Why is
the file size displayed as 0 KB when I click on a QuickLink?
This is normal when you add
downloads directly to the K-Lite traffic window. The correct file size will be
displayed once the first source (a person who shares that file) is found by
K-Lite.
